An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Protection Manager within our Environmental Health service.
The postholder will be responsible for leading the Council’s Environmental Protection team, responsible for services including statutory nuisance, dog control, contaminated land, animal licensing, air quality and private water supplies. The postholder will also be the lead officer for the newly procured environmental enforcement contract and is a key link role with West Sussex County Council on developing sustainable transport infrastructure.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health professional, committed to delivering customer focussed Environment Health services and the enforcement of environmental legislation. A Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control is desirable qualification for the role. This will be an opportunity to develop your analytical and policy development skills. The role is hugely varied and high profile with extensive member engagement, including via the council’s Environment Panel and Cabinet.
