Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flexi-Bendi Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. Applicants must possess relevant certifications and be committed to maintaining safety standards at all times.
Due to the nature of this role being self-employed, we can't accept student visas
You must have a valid Flexi Bendi Forklift Licence
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift trucks to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments and preparing goods for dispatch
- Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks on forklift machinery
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring safe lifting techniques and adherence to safety protocols
- Support warehouse organisation by stacking and storing goods efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential mechanical issues
- Assist in inventory counts and documentation as required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is advantageous
- Familiarity with materials handling procedures and shipping & receiving processes
- Ability to perform basic maths for inventory calculations and measurements
- Experience with heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks is essential
- Previous warehouse experience demonstrating organisational skills and safety awareness is preferred
This role requires a dedicated individual capable of working efficiently within a team, maintaining high safety standards, and demonstrating mechanical aptitude. All applicants must hold valid forklift certification and be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
