Job Description – Front of house team member
Karak Chaii is one of the UK's fastest growing Chaii and Indian street food brands. The brand started life in Birmingham when husband and wife team Sughir and Sara decided that they were not happy with the quality of chai that they could get on the high street so decided to set up their own chai shop. From this, the brand has grown quickly and now has 16 stores nationwide with ambitious plans for the future. As a brand our focus is on our great chai and street food, but we also pride ourselves having a warm, friendly atmosphere where customers can relax with friends or family in great surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
As a front of house team member at Karak Chaii we consider you an ambassador for our brand as you will be the person who our customers will interact with the most. The most important part of your role is to make our customers feel welcome and to ensure that they have a memorable experience every time they visit.
- Greeting all customers who enter the café, periodically checking if everything is ok when they are seated and giving them a parting comment when they leave.
- Using the till properly to input customer orders and using the credit card machine to take payment.
- Dealing with all delivery orders promptly and efficiently.
- Conducting sampling for customers outside - must have an energetic and confident personality.
- Ensuring that all displays are clean, tidy and well stocked at all times.
- Making sure that the seating area looks great at all times, this includes cleaning tables promptly, ensuring that all the chairs are aligned, that the floor is regularly swept and that the exterior glass is kept clean.
- Having a good knowledge of our menu will allow you to help customers make an appropriate choice and also enable you to upsell to customers.
