Responsibilities
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, process shipments, and update stock records accurately.
- Prepare orders by picking and packing items according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Stock shelves and storage areas systematically to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
- Conduct regular quality checks on stock to identify damages or discrepancies, reporting issues promptly.
- Use mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment and assist with heavy lifting tasks safely.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar setting.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload activities, and prolonged standing or walking.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control tasks.
