Lifting Gear & Safety is a company specialising in the field of lifting and marine safety equipment. We hire, sell, and service products from nine locations across the country, all of which are backed up by a team of motivated and talented people. The company itself is owned by the directors of the business and we actively promote the principles of being ‘family run’ with a progressive outlook on development. That development places an emphasis on nurturing talent within our team and ultimately providing career progression.
We currently have a vacancies for a fitter/engineer in our Bristol depot, and we invite applications from individuals who have existing mechanical engineering skills. Those skills do not necessarily need to come from the lifting equipment industry, but it would be an advantage to have LEEA qualifications and basic electrical engineering knowledge. Most importantly, we want to hear from people who have the 'can do' attitude and desire to develop new skills. This role presents a fantastic chance for you to progress in our industry and as a growing company, there are opportunities to further your career for individuals with the drive to succeed.
Salary dependent on experience & qualifications.
Here is what we are looking for:
Experienced mechanical engineer, ideally with existing knowledge of lifting equipment
LEEA qualifications desirable but not essential
A willingness to contribute to the overall team effort
Attention to detail and accuracy when recording information
Ability to solve problems and the capacity to take ownership
Current driving licence and a considerate driver
