We are currently seeking a Support Contract Engineer (Document Control) experienced in mechanical or manufacturing engineering to support the Contracts Engineering team with the coordination and administration of orders through internal and subcontract processes to achieve successful on time, in full delivery to our clients.
To be successful in the role of Support Contract Engineer (Document Control) at Express Engineering, you will be:
- Experienced in the coordination and administration of technical documentation to support the Project and Contract Management cycle utilising strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experienced working in a commercial environment within the manufacturing engineering industry.
- A strong team player working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, continuously developing and maintaining working relationships.
- Confident in a customer facing role at coordination and administration level.
The main duties of the Support Contract Engineer (Document Control) include:
- Creation and control of pre-production documentation according to client specifications; Preparation and maintenance of ESMDRs (Engineering, Supplier & Manufacturing Data Registers) and creation and control of MPS / Material Release Documentation.
- Working alongside the Contract Engineers to ensure documentation is submitted on time and to project requirements.
- Creation, submission and control of Notifications of Inspection (NOIs) and sub-supplier documentation in line with internal and customer requirements.
- Ensuring effective transfer and receipt of relevant information between Express Engineering and the customer to ensure projects achieve planned delivery timescales.
- Generate, submit and control shipping of completed goods, liaising with internal personnel to gain confirmation of despatching and invoicing transactions, and working with the customers representatives for collection of goods from site.
