Overview
A prestigious private household in Westminster, Central London, is seeking an experienced Senior Live-Out Butler / Personal Assistant to provide exceptional personal and household service to the principal. This is a rare opportunity for a professional Butler or senior household specialist who takes pride in excellence, discretion, and day-to-day operational precision.
Working in rotation with another butler, you will ensure the residence runs smoothly and maintains the highest possible standards. The position combines formal service, household coordination, light meal preparation, and daily chauffeur duties. Driving is a key part of the role, so confident London driving experience is essential. A significant portion of the role involves waiting time and standby availability between journeys and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide refined front-of-house service, including table settings, formal dining, and guest hosting.
- Prepare breakfast and light meals to a high standard.
- Oversee household organisation.
- Drive the principal daily within London and occasionally further afield; maintain the vehicle to a professional standard.
- Handle wardrobe care, packing/unpacking, and household inventory.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors as required, maintaining absolute confidentiality.
- General domestic duties.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a private household, butler, PA, hospitality, or service-based role (5-10 years experience preferred although training will be provided)
- Well-presented, discreet, and highly organised
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Strong knowledge of London routes
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to pass a DBS check and provide excellent references
- Lives within a reasonable commuting distance of Westminster
- Occasional flexibility for evenings or weekends
