Overview
Hollands Country Clothing began in 1978, when our grandfather started selling wellies and country clothing from our family farm in rural Cheshire. Nearly 50 years on, we're opening our very first physical store and we're looking for a Retail Assistant (Keyholder) to help us bring the Hollands family feel to life on the shop floor. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a brand-new store. You'll deliver warm, professional customer service, help customers find the right country clothing and footwear for their lifestyle, and take real responsibility as a keyholder including opening and closing the store confidently, sometimes working alone. Due to the size of the store, keyholder responsibility applies on both full-time and part-time hours.
What you'll be doing:
- Giving honest, friendly advice on fit, sizing, and product care.
- Opening and closing the store safely, including alarm and till procedures.
- Keeping the shop floor, fitting rooms, and stockroom replenished and looking their best.
- Processing sales, click & collect orders, exchanges, and refunds.
- Assisting our merchandiser with seasonal display changes.
- Representing the Hollands brand in everything you do.
What we're looking for:
- A happy, friendly, and approachable personality — someone who makes customers feel welcome.
- Retail experience; keyholder experience is a bonus.
- Comfortable working independently, including lone working.
- A trustworthy, reliable, and organised approach.
- Flexibility across the week, including weekends (part-time applicants: minimum 24 hours' availability).
- A genuine interest in country life — farming, dog walking, country sports, equestrian, or rural living.
