Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and possess a solid understanding of restaurant operations. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and wine pairings, to enhance guest experience
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Ensure tables are clean, tidy, and set appropriately before and after service
- Handle payments efficiently using the POS system and provide correct change or receipts
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required during quieter periods
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
- Address guest queries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or similar roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good communication skills with a friendly demeanour and professional attitude
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in guest services, upselling, and culinary environments is desirable but not mandatory
- A proactive approach to learning and teamwork is essential for success in this role
