Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable MIG Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating a variety of metal components to high-quality standards, working from technical drawings and specifications, with a strong focus on quality and safety. Duties
- Operate MIG welding equipment to produce high-quality welds on various metal components.
- Perform TIG welding as required for specialised tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Fabricate parts using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal materials, following detailed drawings and technical instructions.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts accurately.
- Conduct inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine fabrication requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with additional skills in TIG welding preferred.
- Knowledge of welding standards and techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials effectively.
- Experience working with various metals and materials commonly used in fabrication projects.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
