About the Role
Cambron House Care Home is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting colleagues to maintain exceptional standards throughout the home.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead by example, ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and compassionate care while assisting with the day-to-day supervision of the care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to residents.
- Lead and support Care Assistants during shifts.
- Administer and record medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and promptly report any concerns.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Assist with the development and review of care plans.
- Support new staff through induction and ongoing mentoring.
- Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and management.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Promote residents' independence, dignity, privacy, and choice at all times.
Requirements
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
- Previous experience in a Senior Care Assistant role or substantial experience as a Care Assistant.
- Medication administration experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A caring, professional, and reliable approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Right to work in the UK.
