MOBILE VEHICLE TECHNICIAN / MOBILE MECHANIC

ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to continued growth, MAX Automotive Group Ltd is looking for an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician / Mobile Mechanic to join our expanding team.
This is a field-based role carrying out maintenance, diagnostics and repairs at customer locations across the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
You'll primarily support cars, vans and light commercial vehicle fleets, helping our customers reduce downtime by carrying out work on-site wherever practical.
A company service vehicle and equipment will be provided.
THE WORK
You'll carry out:
- Routine servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Mobile mechanical repairs
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Electrical fault diagnosis
- Brakes, suspension and steering
- Batteries and charging systems
- DPF, EGR and emissions diagnostics
- Cooling system repairs
- MOT preparation and repairs
- Vehicle health checks
- Fleet maintenance
- Breakdown diagnosis and repairs
- Manufacturer scheduled maintenance
- Digital inspections and job cards
- Identification and reporting of additional work
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You must have a proven track record as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic and be confident working independently.
Strong diagnostic ability is particularly important.
We're not looking for someone who simply replaces parts until a fault disappears. We want a technician who can test, diagnose and repair faults correctly.
You should have good experience with:

✓ Diagnostics and fault finding
✓ Electrical fault finding
✓ Brakes and suspension
✓ Modern diagnostic equipment
✓ Manufacturer repair procedures
✓ Working independently
✓ Identifying additional work correctly
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally:
- NVQ Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant industry experience
MOT Tester, EV & Hybrid or additional diagnostic qualifications would be advantageous but aren't essential.
Further training may be available for the right person.
