We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work as an ATT (approved TB tester) .
ATTs are not Vets but are approved to carry out TB testing on our farms.
Full time employees will TB test approximately 4 days per week, with approximately 1 day per week Vet Tech work.
For this role you will need:
. Flexibility to accommodate early starts; TB tests may be carried out during morning milking (5-7am) with hours adjusted for the day
. A full clean driving licence
. Live in the practice area (Bridgwater, Taunton, Honiton, Ilminster, Chard, Langport, Street, Highbridge)
. Experience with cattle handling
. Practical ability
. Ability to manage your own workload and diary
. Grade C (or 4) in Maths, English and Science at GCSE level (non-negotiable)
. To be at least 18 years of age with no criminal record
When not TB testing there is also Vet Tech work. Your role here will be to support the vet team and help develop the Vet Tech service across our client's farms and will include:
. Mobility scoring
. Calf disbudding
. Vaccinations
. Youngstock weighing
. Freeze branding
. Hygiene and body condition scoring
