Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans.
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence where possible.
- Maintain clear communication with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Document care provided accurately and report any concerns or changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.
- Assist with light domestic duties, including meal preparation and light cleaning, respecting individual routines.
- Support residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life.
- Use IT systems to update records and communicate effectively within the care team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs.
- Good organisational skills to follow care plans accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members.
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others.
