About the role:
justteachers are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Lincoln, starting as soon as possible on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs in a structured and nurturing environment.
You will work alongside experienced teaching staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. This role is well-suited to someone committed, resilient, and eager to make a meaningful difference in a full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, SEMH, and communication needs
Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons alongside the class teacher
Support pupils’ emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour strategies
Help develop pupils’ social, communication, and independence skills
Adapt classroom activities and materials to meet individual learning needs
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners
Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to pupil progress and wellbeing
Pre-requisites:
Previous experience working with children or young people (SEN experience highly desirable)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils who have diverse needs
A proactive and flexible attitude within a full-time role
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous
Pay: £98.00-£110.00 per day
