Factory Support Operative
World Heat Cylinders Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Support Operative to join our team.
This is a varied hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of our factory, offices and site facilities. The right person will take pride in keeping the workplace clean, tidy, safe and well organised, while also helping with general factory support duties where needed.
Main duties will include:
Cleaning offices, toilets, canteen areas and welfare facilities.
Cleaning the shopfloor using a walk-behind floor cleaner.
Emptying bins and keeping waste areas tidy.
Sweeping, mopping and general housekeeping around the factory.
Keeping walkways, work areas and communal areas clear and safe.
Painting and touching up walls, floors, barriers, doors and general factory areas.
Assisting with basic maintenance and site improvement jobs.
Helping keep stock, materials and equipment organised.
Moving materials, parts and supplies around the factory when required.
Supporting production teams with general assistance tasks.
Helping load, unload and organise deliveries where needed.
Cleaning and tidying outside areas, yards and entrances.
Reporting any damage, hazards or issues to management.
Assisting with basic repairs, fixtures, fittings and general site upkeep.
Helping prepare areas for audits, customer visits and inspections.
Supporting supervisors and managers with general factory duties.
Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
There may also be an opportunity for the right person to be trained on a forklift truck.
The ideal candidate will be:
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
Happy to carry out cleaning, tidying and general factory support work.
Practical and willing to turn their hand to different jobs.
Able to work on their own initiative.
Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role.
Proud of keeping the workplace clean, safe and organised.
A good team player with a positive attitude.
Previous factory, cleaning, maintenance, warehouse or site support experience would be useful, but full training can be given to the right person.
