Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver and Porter to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting and delivering heavy goods such as washing machines, fridge/freezers and other appliances safely and efficiently to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering exceptional customer service. A valid driving licence for driving positions (Manual) and physical ability to lift heavy appliances are essential for this positions.
Duties
- Installing and Uninstalling old appliances as per request. (Training will be provided) .
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional attitude and addressing any client queries courteously.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Experience
- 2 days in class & 4 days paid on the road training will be provided.
- Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
- Previous experience with delivery routes and logistics management is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence for driving positions.
- Experience in handling goods securely during transit is desirable. This role is ideal for organised individuals who take pride in their driving skills and delivering outstanding service while maintaining safety standards at all times.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
