Brief Description: Help tell the stories that are changing communities across Somerset.
We're looking for a creative, motivated and community-focused Marketing and Communications Officer to join Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP).
This is an exciting opportunity to lead communications activity that supports the Somerset Coastal Place Partnership and our other place-based work, helping local partners and communities create healthier, more active places to live, work and grow.
You'll work with a wide range of organisations, community groups and residents to promote opportunities, share success stories, develop campaigns and showcase the impact of place-based initiatives across Somerset.
What you'll be doing
- Leading communications activity for the Somerset Coastal Place Partnership (Porlock to Burnham-on-Sea, including Bridgwater) and Yeovil locality work.
- Developing and delivering local marketing campaigns and behaviour change communications.
- Managing partner communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Capturing and sharing inspiring stories, case studies and impact content.
- Creating content across digital, social media, website, newsletters and marketing channels.
- Supporting SASP’s Adult programme communications and organisational priorities.
- Helping communities connect with opportunities to be active, healthy and engaged.
What we're looking for
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent content creation skills and a passion for community impact. Experience in communications, marketing, public engagement or related fields is essential, alongside the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of partners and audiences.
This role is for a fixed-term of 2 years, then dependent upon funding.

Pay: £24,522.00-£26,008.00 per year
