Dental Nurse — Private Practice, York

We’re looking for a dental nurse to join our team in the heart of York. Whether you’re newly qualified or experienced and looking for a change, we’d love to hear from you.
The role
You’ll work alongside our hygienists, dental therapists and restorative dentists, helping patients feel comfortable and supporting the smooth running of their appointments.
Your work will include chairside nursing, preparing surgeries and equipment, maintaining clinical records, and following our infection prevention and decontamination procedures.
Room to develop
Our practice provides restorative dentistry, endodontics, implants, orthodontics and sedation, offering opportunities to broaden your experience.
Depending on your interests and the needs of the practice, progression could include:
- Developing skills in endodontic and implant nursing.
- Training to support sedation procedures.
- Working towards a dental radiography qualification.
- Moving into treatment coordination or a senior nursing role.
You don’t need experience in all these areas to apply. We also welcome experienced nurses who enjoy chairside care and want to continue doing it well.
About you
You’ll be a qualified, GDC-registered dental nurse or with some experience, who is reliable, organised and considerate towards patients and colleagues. You’ll take pride in your work, communicate clearly and be comfortable asking for help when you need it.
Pay and working arrangements
Starting pay will reflect your experience and the responsibilities of the role. We’ll discuss pay expectations and working hours during an initial conversation, before arranging an interview.
