The Brew Factory is looking for a talented and passionate Barista to join our team in Cardiff. We are committed to delivering high-quality coffee and a welcoming customer experience, and we are seeking someone who shares our standards and enthusiasm.
This role offers an opportunity to showcase your barista skills while contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained at all times.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, teas, and specialised drinks according to company recipes and standards
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or other light food items
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Ensure stock levels are monitored and replenished as needed throughout shifts
- Uphold health and safety standards, including proper food handling and hygiene procedures
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, fostering a welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista using commercial coffee equipment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and grinder calibration
- Ability to consistently produce latte art (e.g. rosettas, hearts, tulips)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- A creative approach to developing new drinks and seasonal specials
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
