Support Worker
Location: Leigh
Rate of Pay: £13.00 per hour (weekly or monthly pay available)
Shift Pattern: 30 hours on shift, nights and days
Contract: Fixed term (12 months)
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic female Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a bright and much-loved 10-year-old girl living at home with her parents in Leigh.
She has DiGeorge syndrome and requires round-the-clock support from a consistent team. She is non-verbal, so you will learn to understand her individual communication cues, with full specialist training provided. She is a warm and engaging child who enjoys baking, sensory play, music, Disney films, and pampering, and is supported by a loving extended family. She has complex clinical needs, including ventilator dependency via tracheostomy, epilepsy, dystonia, scoliosis, visual and hearing impairments, and has a J-Peg for nutritional and fluids.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred care across day and night shifts

Support with clinical needs (full training provided)

Learn and respond to her unique non-verbal communication methods

Promote engagement in activities, play, and community outings

Maintain a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment

Experience & Skills of a Support Worker:

Experience supporting children, non-verbal individuals, or those with complex needs is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
