Join our team as a High Intensity CBT Therapist in Scunthorpe on a part time basis.
As a High Intensity Therapist (CBT), you'll play a key role in supporting people experiencing common mental health difficulties alongside drug and alcohol use. Using evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), you'll help people develop the skills and confidence to improve their mental wellbeing and achieve meaningful recovery.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll carry out comprehensive assessments, formulate treatment plans and deliver high quality, person-centred interventions to people with a range of mental health presentations where CBT is clinically indicated. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues, external professionals and wider support networks to ensure people receive the right care at the right time.
This is a rewarding opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, helping people overcome barriers to recovery and make lasting positive changes in their lives. You'll also contribute to service development, clinical supervision, audits and the ongoing improvement of psychological therapy provision across the service.
The role is part time and permanent, working 22.5 hours per week across 3 days. The salary for this position is £50,000 per annum.

As a High Intensity CBT Therapist, you will:

Deliver evidence-based High Intensity CBT interventions to adults accessing our drug and alcohol services in Scunthorpe.

Undertake comprehensive assessments, develop formulations and create collaborative treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

Manage your own caseload, ensuring safe, effective and timely delivery of therapy.

Assess and manage clinical risk within your scope of practice, working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team.

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless care and appropriate referrals.

Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with professional, organisational and information governance standards.

Participate in regular clinical supervision, continuing professional development and service evaluation activities.

Support service development through clinical audits, outcome monitoring and sharing best practice.

Promote equality, diversity and inclusion while delivering trauma-informed, recovery-focused care.

Safeguard children and adults by following WithYou policies and procedures at all times.

Support our Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner with regular case management and clinical supervision.

To be successful in this role you will be a qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist with a passion for delivering high quality psychological therapies to people experiencing mental health difficulties alongside substance use.
You'll also have:

A Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity CBT, or an equivalent recognised professional qualification with postgraduate CBT training.

BABCP accreditation, or be working towards accreditation within an agreed timeframe.

Significant experience delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to adults with common mental health difficulties.

Experience completing comprehensive psychological assessments, risk assessments and routine outcome monitoring.

A strong understanding of anxiety, depression and how mental health difficulties can present alongside drug and alcohol use.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships with people experiencing significant distress.

Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and alongside external partner organisations.

The ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritise effectively and maintain accurate clinical records.

A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.

A proactive approach to learning, reflective practice and continuous professional development.

Ideally you will also have a recognised qualification in clinical supervision - this is a desirable criteria not essential.
We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.
