Night Porter – Full Time
Langham Hotel, Eastbourne
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Night Porter to join our dedicated team at the Langham Hotel.
Please note: Only applicants with previous experience as a Night Porter in a hotel setting will be considered. This is a requirement for the role.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, you will play an essential role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and smooth overnight experience for our guests. This is a full-time position, based on a4 nights on / 4 nights off rota, providing excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the security of the hotel and its guests throughout the night.
- Providing all guests with friendly, professional, and efficient service.
- Answering calls and managing guest enquiries in a courteous manner.
- Carrying out night cleaning tasks including hoovering and polishing in public areas.
- Restocking and preparing bar items and amenities for the next day.
- Delivering night room service and processing payments.
- Supporting reception duties, including check-ins/check-outs and taking payments.
- Complying with all Health & Safety and Fire procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Night Porter in a hotel (essential).
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for guest care.
- Confident communicator with the ability to prioritise tasks calmly and efficiently.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Hotel PMS systems (Preferably Guestline), and general IT skills.
- Professional, proactive, and flexible attitude.
