Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chef/Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including basic cooking, garnishing, and plating
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing excellent guest service
- Manage table settings, clear tables promptly, and assist with guest requests or enquiries
- Maintain organisation of the dining area, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Handle cash or card transactions accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to provide outstanding guest services with a friendly demeanour
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Aptitude for upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales potential
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
