This is a permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has previous experience within forestry, landscaping, grounds maintenance or a similar hands-on environment.
You’ll work as part of an experienced team delivering projects across a variety of locations, so no two days will necessarily be the same.
The role
You’ll report to the yard in Flecknoe each morning before travelling out to sites with the wider team.
Importantly, your working day is paid from the time you leave the yard, including your travel time back to the yard at the end of the day.
Typical duties could include:
- Forestry and vegetation management work
- Landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Using a range of hand and power tools
- Supporting tree, woodland and site clearance work
- Working alongside experienced forestry and landscaping teams
- Working safely across a variety of commercial sites and locations
What we're looking for
Previous experience within forestry and/or landscaping would be ideal, although we're equally interested in people from similar outdoor, practical or land-based backgrounds.
You'll need to be physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all conditions and happy travelling to different sites as part of your working week.
A valid CSCS Card is essential.
Any additional industry qualifications or tickets would be a big advantage, particularly:
- Chainsaw qualifications/tickets
- Brushcutter/strimmer tickets
- Woodchipper certification
- First Aid
- Forestry or arboriculture qualifications
- Other relevant plant, machinery or site tickets
You will also need your own reliable transport to get to the Flecknoe yard each day. From there, transport to the day's work locations is provided.
What's on offer?
£15.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
This is a permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week and the opportunity to join a well-established business where additional skills, tickets and forestry experience will be recognised.
For someone with good practical experience who wants a long-term career within forestry and landscaping, this could be an excellent opportunity.
Interested? Apply today with your CV and details of any relevant experience, CSCS card and additional tickets or qualifications you hold or call 0121 5920289 and ask for Michelle or Charley.
