Senior Social Worker - Fostering & Kinship

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a Fostering and Kinship Team in Oxted. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Children’s Social Worker with strong fostering, kinship assessment, and safeguarding experience to support children and families through high-quality social work practice.
You will be responsible for completing assessments, supporting foster carers and kinship carers, and ensuring children and young people receive safe, stable, and nurturing placements. The role requires a confident practitioner who can manage complex cases, provide professional advice, and work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of fostering and kinship cases, ensuring effective assessment and support.
- Complete comprehensive fostering assessments, including connected person and kinship assessments.
- Support foster carers and kinship carers to provide positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Undertake safeguarding assessments and contribute to care planning and review processes.
- Provide professional advice, guidance, and support to carers and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.
- Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records.
- Ensure practice meets statutory requirements, policies, and safeguarding standards.
- Contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the fostering team.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care.
- Previous experience within fostering, kinship, permanence, or connected persons services.
- Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Experience completing assessments and managing complex cases.
- Excellent communication, report-writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
