Job Title: Production Operative
We continue to hire our seasonal staff to help out during our busy period. We’re looking for enthusiastic candidates who, ideally, can start at short notice and work through to mid-September 2026.
This is a temporary position on dayshift, working 38 hours:
0700–1600 Monday to Thursday, and 0700–1100 Friday.
The rate of pay for this role is £13.45 per hour.
About the Role
As an Operative at Johnstons of Elgin, you will play a key role in the finishing stages of our luxury accessories and home products. Your responsibilities may include inspecting, tagging, folding, and packaging items, as well as barcoding products and ensuring that all product codes accurately match accompanying paperwork.
You may also be involved in the sewing and finishing process, operating labelling machines to finesse and enhance products such as scarves and blankets.
Working across both production and finishing tasks, you will be required to maintain a high level of attention to detail while achieving the output levels needed to meet our production plan. You may also support other areas of the department as required.
Full training will be provided.
