We're looking for a Data Cabling & Network Installation Engineer to join our growing installation team. This is a field-based role working on projects across the UK, installing structured cabling and network infrastructure in a wide range of commercial environments.
No previous experience in data cabling is essential – we will provide full training for the right candidate.
The Role:
You'll be travelling to customer sites throughout the UK, installing and maintaining structured cabling and network infrastructure for commercial clients.
Projects are typically carried out in:
- Schools and colleges
- Office buildings
- Manufacturing facilities
- Warehouses
- Distribution centres
- Other commercial premises
As travel is a key part of the role, overnight accommodation is provided Monday to Friday when required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install structured cabling including Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A.
- Install fibre optic cabling, including pre-terminated fibre.
- Install and terminate network outlets.
- Install wireless access points (WAPs).
- Install IP CCTV cameras and associated network equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on structured cabling systems.
- Install containment systems including trunking, PVC and steel conduit, cable tray, and basket.
- Install AV equipment including large format displays and interactive screens.
- Deliver a professional, courteous, and efficient service to customers.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and health & safety on every project.

Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to pass a DBS check.
- Competent using hand and power tools.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away Monday to Friday when required.
Desirable Qualifications
The following are advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided:
- ECS or CSCS Card.
- IPAF.
- PASMA.
- Experience with structured cabling installations.
- Fibre optic installation experience.
- AV installation experience.
- Network infrastructure or CCTV installation experience.
