Reports To: Senior Contract Manager
Location: Based in Bristol with projects across the UK (Travel Required)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Starting at £45,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Licence/Certification: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field & Full UK Driving Licence
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on the commercial delivery of pub fit-outs and refurbishments across the UK. You will be responsible for cost control from tender to final account, working closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, suppliers and clients to ensure every project is delivered profitably, on time and to a high standard.
What You Will Be Doing
- Preparing tenders, cost plans and commercial submissions.
- Obtaining and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Raising orders with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring clarity on scope, cost and programme.
- Managing project costs, variations and valuations through to final account.
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value.
- Supporting site teams with cost control and procurement on fast-turnaround refurb projects.
- Attending progress meetings, reporting commercial matters and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, contracts and health & safety requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in fit-out, refurbishment or hospitality/retail projects.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Good knowledge of contracts, cost reporting and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working in live environments and to tight deadlines.
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (RICS desirable, not essential).
- Full UK driving licence (travel required).
