Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Manufacturing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and fabrication disciplines, including metal work (box section chassis), light plumbing skills, electrical work cable running, and carpentry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical expertise and hands-on skills. The Manufacturing Specialist will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to the efficient production of high-quality products. Duties
- Operate and maintain a range of power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment relevant to manufacturing tasks.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly, and installation activities across multiple disciplines such as box section cutting with a band saw, some welding skills would be beneficial but training is provided.
- Read and interpret, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure precise execution of tasks along side the Manufacturing Lead.
- Support Manufacturing lead with quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to meet safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to plan workflows and optimise productivity on-site or in the workshop, making sure the site vehicles have the required levels of inventory and consumables.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Be a part of the on site installation team where required to help with building SmartPods on site with the occasional overnight stay.
Requirements

- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and check against components where necessary.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within manufacturing environments.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings either in the workshop or on-site
- Ability to use a forklift desirable but not essential
- Clean Driving license
Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
