Club Supervisor
Salary: £14.50 per hour
Hours: 20 – 25 hours per week

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Club Supervisor to join our team and play an important role in the day-to-day running of our club.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys hospitality, customer service and leading a team. You will act as the senior person on duty, supporting the Club Assistants and ensuring the café, bar and wider club operation runs smoothly.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and Food & Beverage Manager, you will help maintain high standards, deliver an excellent member experience and support the continued development of the club.
This role would suit someone looking to develop their leadership skills within a hospitality, leisure or customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shift Leadership
- Act as the senior person on duty during assigned shifts.
- Lead and support the Club Assistant team.
- Ensure the club operates smoothly throughout the shift.
- Allocate tasks and support the team during busy periods.
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure operational issues are reported and escalated appropriately.
Café & Bar Operations
- Deliver excellent customer service to members, guests and visitors.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to club standards.
- Support food preparation and basic cooking duties.
- Prepare hot and cold drinks, including coffee and bar service.
- Operate tills and handle payments accurately.
- Maintain excellent standards across the café, bar and kitchen areas.
- Support stock checks, restocking and waste reduction.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures are followed.
Member Experience
- Create a welcoming and professional environment.
- Build positive relationships with members and guests.
- Respond to customer requests and queries.
- Resolve issues where possible and escalate when required.
- Support a positive club atmosphere.
Club Operations Support
- Assist with wider club operations when required.
- Support reception duties, including answering calls and member enquiries.
- Assist with general club presentation and housekeeping tasks.
- Complete checks of facilities and report issues.
- Support events, competitions and club activities.
Team Development
- Lead by example and demonstrate excellent standards.
- Support new team members through training and guidance.
- Encourage a positive and supportive team culture.
- Provide feedback to the Operations Manager and Food & Beverage Manager.
Working Pattern
This role requires flexibility to support the needs of the club.
The position will include a mixture of:
- Evening shifts
- Weekend working
The senior team will work on a rota basis to provide leadership coverage while supporting a good work-life balance.

Food hygiene experience would be an advantage, but training can be provided.
