Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation meet our standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to develop their skills within a reputable establishment. The Chef de Partie will work closely with the head chef and other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all food preparation is completed efficiently and to high quality
- Oversee food safety and hygiene standards in line with legal requirements and company policies
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels within your section, report shortages, and assist with stock rotation
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen setting is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
