Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Room Lead to inspire and oversee a vibrant classroom environment for young children. In this vital role, you will lead a team of early childhood educators, ensuring that each child receives high-quality care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Duties
- Lead and manage daily classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and aligned with early childhood development standards
- Supervise and support a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's progress and address any concerns
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and encourages positive interactions among children and staff
Requirements
- Proven management experience leading early childhood or nursery teams in a childcare setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff members
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early years or childcare environments
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Valid childcare or nursery qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent)
- Ability to drive is preferred to facilitate transportation or outreach activities if required
- A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
