Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Trailer Body Repairer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and restoring heavy goods vehicle (HGV) trailers to ensure they meet safety standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair damage to trailer bodies, including panels, doors, flooring, and structural components
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Perform welding, patching, and sealing work to restore trailer integrity
- Inspect trailers thoroughly to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each trailer
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle or trailer body repair or a similar mechanical role
- Strong knowledge of trailer structures, materials, and repair techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers
- Proficient with power tools including drills, grinders, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy vehicle repairs is highly desirable
Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
