Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled individual to fulfil a quality role with experience in hands on inspection through to quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout the business, implementing new procedures and supporting the manufacturing departments on a daily basis. This will include general inspection, offline programming, reporting, quality analysis and maintaining customer relations. We require a minimum of 5 years of experience within the engineering/ quality sectors preferably within high performance motorsport where you’ll be used to complex critical components and demanding deadlines daily. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of quality control processes within a precision engineering environment. Additional experience in offline programming and operation of CMM’s, laser scanning technologies and optical inspection is required.
Duties
- Develop CNC programmes for our CMM to produce precise components in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measurement tools such as laser and optical devices to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Analyse inspection data to identify trends or recurring issues, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, programme adjustments, and quality reports for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve any manufacturing or quality issues promptly.
- Ensure all machinery operates efficiently by performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, measurement data and inspection reports.
- Demonstrate understanding of quality assurance processes within a manufacturing setting adhering to iso 9001.
- Proficient in using manual measurement tools such as callipers, micrometres, thread/pin gauges and other inspection equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing technology, or quality control are preferred but not mandatory.
