GB SRS Brundavan is a Hindu faith-based religious organisation and registered charity in the UK and operates a Temple (prayer centre) in Cowley, Uxbridge.
Job title: Archak (Temple worker)
The Archak (Temple worker) is required to perform the following duties under the guidance of a knowledgeable senior Priest in the organisation.
1. Prepare the deities in the prayer centre for daily abhisheka (ritualistic bathing)
2. Perform daily rituals to the deities in the prayer centre adhering to Madhwa Philosophy
3. Decorate deities in the prayer centre
4. Maintain the prayer area clean and tidy
5. Perform pooja, havan, Shraada, etc. in the prayer centre or at the Devotee's residence
6. Prepare neivedya (offerings to the deities) and food for specific religious services (Havan, Shraddha, etc)
