What you'll be doing:
- Recording financial transactions in Xero
- Coding receipts and purchase invoices through Dext
- Reconciling the bank
- Communicating with clients for information
- Checking control accounts on the balance sheet
- VAT returns
- Journals for prepayments, payroll and accruals
- Support with management accounts
- Communicating confidently with clients via meetings, calls and messages.
- Providing proactive support to help clients understand and improve their numbers.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds at least AAT Level 3.
- Has a minimum of 3 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice or as a self-employed bookkeeper.
- Is confident using Xero (and ideally Dext too).
- Can manage their own workload and work independently.
- Is great with clients and enjoys building strong relationships.
