Summary
As a Route Surveyor you will be responsible for delivering multimodal transport & logistics solutions both internally and to our clients. Working closely with the Heavy Lift & Specialist Transport team, you are to provide an engineered and checked transport solution as per the specifications and restrictions.
1. Key Accountabilities
- Overall accountability for the production of route feasibility studies and route reports from commercial handover to close out.
- Accountable for the profit margin on each survey / report produced.
- Ensuring route feasibility studies and route reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner, as per the agreed work package.
- Putting Health, Safety and Environment at the forefront of the team’s day to day proceedings; comply with health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
2. Key Responsibilities
Completing transport drawings as per the information supplied by the customerSearching for and checking feasibility of routes while taking into consideration the NH Water Preferred Policy. Conducting on site investigations to capture transport limitations, restrictions and risks
Carrying out Swept Path Analysis of any potential restrictions and documenting all information into a route feasibility study / route report before issuing findings to the customer
Liaising with consultants regarding structural checks and limitations
To ensure that all project HSQE documentation is completed on-time and of sufficient quality to project requirements
Liaise with Head of Project Delivery to ensure that all routing surveys and permitting requirements are completed on-time and are of sufficient quality
To control the assigned budget and deliver profit on each works package
Support, carry out and compile technical transport route surveys and feasibility studies
Develop and design multi modal transport/lifting concepts
Attend site meetings as required
Attend meetings at company offices as requested (Studley/Stoke)
Attend client-based meetings as required
To deal with any queries or problems in a timely manner in order to provide customer satisfaction
To conduct the role within as directed by the Company and within the guidelines outlined within the Group Rules and Policies
To provide any duty within the Company that is a reasonable request with the performance, skill and ability level of the job

4. Qualifications / Skills
Engineering qualification (or equivalent knowledge, demonstratable through experience).
Good knowledge of the Heavy Lift and Transport industry
Full driving licence, Cat B1
Onsite experience in transport
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent IT skills- Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (or equivalent)
Excellent organisation skills; both personal and professional
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Travel, nights away will be required for varying durations.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
