Head Chef – Windermere Manor Hotel
Up to £39,000 per annum plus benefits | Lake District
Windermere Manor Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and deliver high-quality dining in one of the UK’s most stunning locations. This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and has strong leadership skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading, mentoring and developing a small to medium-sized kitchen brigade
- Creating and delivering seasonal à la carte menus
- Managing kitchen budgets, stock and gross profit targets
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety standards, HACCP and allergen legislation
- Maintaining our 5-star food hygiene rating
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ideally in a hotel environment
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations
- A passion for quality food and excellent presentation
Desirable qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene
- HACCP Level 3
