Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production and preparation. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen staff and operations, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes.
- Help develop new menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering their development in food production techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Good knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Passion for cooking with a creative flair for developing new dishes.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
