LCS (Light Control Systems (UK) Ltd) is a growing supplier of made-to-measure window blinds, curtains and window film to the commercial sector. We work with many of the UK's leading construction and interior fit-out contractors, delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service on projects of all sizes.
Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Administrator to join our busy and friendly team.
The Role
This is a varied and fast-paced position that plays a key role in supporting our sales and installation teams from enquiry through to project completion. You'll be responsible for coordinating multiple projects, communicating with customers and suppliers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and sales support to the field sales and installation teams.
- Handle customer enquiries, process orders and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Prepare project costings and quotations in collaboration with the field sales team.
- Liaise with surveyors to coordinate site surveys and ensure programme requirements are achieved.
- Raise purchase orders with suppliers and coordinate deliveries to meet installation schedules.
- Arrange and schedule installations, producing all relevant documentation required to complete each project.
- Monitor project costs and carry out post-completion cost analysis.
- Support the finance team with project costings and invoicing when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a busy office environment. You will have:
- Previous experience in an office administration role.
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good numerical skills and confidence working with figures.
- The ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience within the construction, fit-out or window blinds and curtains industry would be an advantage but is not essential, as full product training will be provided.
This role involves producing quotations and project costings. While specialist product knowledge isn't required, you'll need to be comfortable working with pricing software, supplier price lists and numerical information, with accuracy and attention to detail being essential.
