Are you an experienced Early Years professional with a passion for delivering exceptional care and education? We're looking for a confident and inspiring Early Years Room Leader to join our dedicated team.
You will lead one of our nursery rooms, working with children aged 5 months to 5 years, depending on the needs of the nursery and your experience. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team, inspire high-quality practice, and make a real difference to children's learning and development.
Salary
- £14.60 per hour – Level 3 Early Years Educator
- £15.17 per hour – Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), or equivalent recognised qualification

Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above, recognised by the DfE.
- Previous experience leading a team within an early years setting.
- Significant experience working with one or more Early Years age groups.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and safeguarding requirements.
- Experience completing observations, assessments, and planning in line with the EYFS.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- A positive role model with a professional work ethic, committed to maintaining high standards and supporting the nursery's values.
- A commitment to providing outstanding outcomes for children and their families.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and a clear understanding of child protection responsibilities within an early years setting.
Desirable
- Montessori knowledge or experience.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience supporting staff development and continuous quality improvement.
About the Role
As Room Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your room, ensuring outstanding standards of care, education, and safeguarding. You will lead your team by example, oversee planning and assessment, build strong partnerships with families, and create a safe, stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
You'll work closely with the management team to uphold the nursery's values, maintain high standards, and contribute to the continued development and success of the setting.
