Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Duties
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as required
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, counters, and service stations
- Take orders accurately and handle transactions efficiently
- Support baristas with drink preparation when necessary
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all areas of work
- Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and politely
- Assist with setting up event spaces or catering functions as needed
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Basic food preparation skills and understanding of restaurant operations
- Barista experience is a plus but not essential
- Organised with a keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of service are maintained
- A positive attitude with a genuine interest in delivering excellent customer experiences
