Are you someone who enjoys working with technical information and has a keen eye for detail? We're recruiting for a Technical Estimator to join a well-established and growing engineering business based in St Ives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can confidently interpret technical drawings and enjoys producing accurate quotations while working closely with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
· Review customer enquiries and technical specifications.
· Interpret engineering and manufacturing drawings to produce accurate quotations.
· Calculate material, labour and production costs.
· Prepare detailed estimates and quotations within agreed timescales.
· Liaise with customers to clarify project requirements and technical queries.
· Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quotations are accurate and achievable.
· Maintain quotation records and follow up where appropriate.
· Support continuous improvements within the estimating process.
Ideal Candidate
· Previous experience within an estimating, technical sales, engineering or manufacturing environment.
· Ability to read and understand technical and engineering drawings is essential.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
· Confident using Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
· Organised, methodical and able to manage multiple quotations simultaneously.
