Due to changes within our organisation we are seeking an experienced Electrician.
What We Offer
- Permanent Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- We require an in house electrically qualified competent person.
- Our works are 80% domestic work and 20% commercial.
- Your role will be to oversee some installations. To install when work is busy, be trained to survey and undertake or be involved with basic designs, cable sizing and basic electrical works.
- Undertake repair and maintenance work, fault finding, electrical testing and inspections.
- Complete full electrical installations of Solar PV systems and battery storage units alongside our teams.
- Install AC/DC components, inverters, optimisers, microinverters, and EV chargers, test and fault find when required.
- Collaborate with roofing teams to ensure safe, efficient, and tidy installations.
- Adhere strictly to site health and safety standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the SolarTherm brand on-site.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven experience installing Solar PV systems
- 5 years electrical experience in both domestic and commercial works
- Electrical: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) and 18th Edition
- Certifications: BPEC/MCS accredited solar qualifications are advantageous
- Safety: Valid CSCS card or ECS Gold Card (IPAF is a plus)
- Licence: Valid UK Driving Licence (required) and permanent right to work in the UK
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (weekends on occasion but not obligatory)
- HQ Location: Basildon, SS14 (must be able to reliably commute, and not reside more than 15/20 miles from our warehouse)
- Work Location: On the road (covering installations in and around the South East) and occasional office based days.
