Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you have a few hours a month or want to get more involved, there’s a role for you at Delapré.
Where could you volunteer?
- Community Garden Volunteers
Get your hands dirty and help bring our gardens to life. Grow, plant, maintain and learn alongside our community garden team.
- Grounds & Parkland Volunteers
Help care for the wider Delapré estate, from maintaining outdoor spaces to supporting conservation and improving the experience for everyone who visits.
- Abbey Hosts & Tour Guides
Be the welcoming face of our heritage. Meet visitors, share stories and help bring 900 years of Delapré’s history to life through tours, talks and conversations.
- Gift Shop & Front of House Volunteers
Be one of the first friendly faces our visitors meet. Welcome guests, provide information, support our gift shop and help people get the most from their visit.
- Events Volunteers
Help make Delapré’s programme of events happen. From small community activities to major celebrations, you could be involved in everything from welcoming visitors to event support.
- Festival & Event Parking Stewards
Help visitors arrive safely and smoothly at our larger events. A great opportunity if you enjoy being outdoors, meeting people and being part of a busy event team.
- Maintenance and Restoration Volunteers
Put your practical skills to good use. Support our team with hands-on projects, repairs, painting, making, maintaining and caring for this much-loved historic site.
You don't need to be an expert
You don't need previous experience — just enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved and a passion for Delapré.
