Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and hygiene standards.
Working within a branded menu, at times at a busy pace, but to brand standard.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the kitchen operations, assisting in food production, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Training will be given to the right person, must hold a minimum 2 food hygiene training certificate. This can be arrange on site, if needed and free of charge.

Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
- Help in the inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expiry dates
- Participate in the proper storage of ingredients and prepared foods to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
- Supervise junior staff when required, providing guidance on food preparation and safety procedure.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting, but training to the right person will be given
- A good understanding of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude towards colleagues and guests
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is advantageous but not essential for entry-level candidates willing to learn
Pay: £13.25-£15.00 per hour
