Graduate Energy & Environmental Analyst

Wall Colmonoy Limited (UK) manufactures a range of Nickel and Cobalt based powder hardsurfacing alloys, Nickel based high temperature brazing alloys and Nickel, Cobalt and Stainless Steel precision cast and machined components.
From its Swansea based European Headquarters, Wall Colmonoy Limited currently serves a significant geographical region including UK, Western and Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, India, South Africa, and Australia and more, supplying products into a wide range of industries ranging from Glass and Food container manufacture, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Steel, Mining and Waste, to newer markets including Energy, Power Generation, Renewables, Aerospace and Defence.
About the Role
Wall Colmonoy is seeking a motivated and analytical Graduate Energy & Environmental Analyst to join our EHS team. This role plays a key part in supporting the company’s energy management, carbon reporting, and environmental compliance programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build a career in sustainability, energy management, and environmental performance within a manufacturing environment.
You will gain hands-on experience in carbon accounting, ISO 14001 systems, regulatory reporting, and energy efficiency initiatives, working closely with Engineering, Operations, IT, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Energy & Carbon Reporting
- Analyse utility, energy, and waste data to produce clear management reports and performance dashboards.
- Collate, validate, and process data for mandatory and voluntary reporting, including:
- Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions
- Development of Scope 3 data collection
- SECR (Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting)
- Carbon Reduction Plans
- CBAM reporting requirements
- Annual environmental reporting
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across internal systems and client submissions.
- Track performance against energy and carbon reduction targets.
Energy Management & Improvement
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and environmental improvement.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of energy-saving initiatives.
- Support development of decarbonisation and carbon reduction roadmaps.
Environmental Compliance & Management Systems
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Maintain environmental documentation in line with ISO 14001 requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of environmental management systems.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and analytical graduate who is keen to develop a career in energy and environmental management.
Essential:
- Degree (or working towards) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and data-handling skills.
- Understanding of UK environmental legislation and reporting frameworks (e.g. SECR, ISO 14001 principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present data clearly.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 management systems.
- Associate membership (or interest in working towards) IEMA or Energy Institute accreditation.
