Overview
We are seeking a skilled CPCS 360 Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently on-site, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, experience with excavators, and the ability to undertake commercial driving duties when necessary. The ideal applicant will be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate CPCS 360-degree excavators in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Assist with site preparation, loading, and unloading materials using heavy plant equipment
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and optimise workflow
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to minimise risks on-site
- Perform basic maintenance checks and minor repairs on machinery as required
- Drive commercial vehicles when transporting equipment or materials between sites or locations
Experience
- Proven experience operating CPCS 360 excavators in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid CPCS card or equivalent certification for 360 excavator operation
- Experience with commercial driving, including handling lorries or similar vehicles, is desirable
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within construction settings
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure safety standards are maintained at all times
