Maintenance Operative / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson

Nicholson Group is a vertically-integrated property development, lettings and asset-management business with a growing residential portfolio across St Helens and Merseyside. We are looking to appoint a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our in-house team and help maintain our high standards across occupied properties and communal areas.
This is a long-term, stable role for someone who takes pride in their work, turns up on time, and enjoys being part of a professional, growing business.
The Role
You will carry out day-to-day reactive and planned maintenance works across our residential portfolio, including:
- General repairs and maintenance to occupied properties
- Basic plumbing (taps, traps, toilets, leaks)
- Carpentry (doors, locks, architraves, minor joinery)
- Patch plastering, painting and decorating
- Changing lights, sockets and minor electrical works (non-certifiable)
- Maintaining communal areas to a high standard
- Identifying issues before they become bigger problems
- Working closely with our lettings, compliance and asset management teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a similar role
- Multi-skilled with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Good communication skills and a professional manner with tenants
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Desirable (but not essential):
- NVQ / City & Guilds in a trade
- Experience working in residential blocks or managed portfolios

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
